4.6.9 PM Manual Test
You can set up to run a test manually as part of setting up or troubleshooting a specific IP
Address. Manual Tests do not interrupt scheduled test execution.
On the Network Performance screen, type 8 and press Enter. The PM Manual test Setup screen
(Figure 4-33) opens.

1. Enter the appropriate information in each field. You can configure the following properties:
IP Address identifies the NID that you want tested. Note that 0.0.0.0 is not a valid IP
address. In case of Y.1731 testing, no destination IP address is required. The IP address
field can be 0.0.0.0.
VLAN Type Specify the encapsulation of the PM packets. The options supported are
untagged, C-Tag, or S-Tag.
VLAN ID If applicable, enter a value in the range of 0-4094, otherwise enter 0 for
unattached PM packets. If you select the Y.1731 MEG mode, the PM manual test VLAN
ID must match the MEG VLAN ID.
Profile Name identifies the Profile that you want to use. You must enter a Profile in order
for you to enable the test in the Test field.
PM Test Mode Two test methods are available: CP proprietary PM or Y.1731 mode.
SOAM MEG This option is required if you choose Y.1731 PM test mode. Press the
Space bar until the desired MEG ID/Name/lvl appears. The MEG ID must be configured
before you setup SOAM MEG for the PM Manual test.
SOAM Destination MEP ID Specify the destination MEP ID that will be tested.
