5.2 Operation of the VT100 Program

If this is your initial setup and no password has been defined, the 9135/9140 will go directly to the Main

Menu. If this is not your initial setup, enter the proper password as established for Supervisor, Manager, or

User, and select <Enter>. The Main Menu screen will appear. See Figure 5-6.

Note: Caution must be taken when establishing the passwords. After gaining access to the menus, each

editable menu item has a minimum access level, which must be met before the edit is allowed. For example,

if you are logged in as USER and you try to change a Spanning Tree parameter, you will get a message

"ACCESS DENIED: SUPERVISOR LEVEL REQUIRED." Refer to Passwords Section.
